Greek person here. Actually dill is the herb used in tzatziki. The other herbs just give it a taste of a different cuisine. Also a tip : for every 200gr of yogurt add 3tbsp olive oil and 1tbsp vinegar

In India, it's called "Kheera Raita".

parsley and mint is only added in specific regions in greece. Usually it’s only made with cucumber 🥒, garlic 🧄, dill, salt and pepper. Some add olive oil and a little vinegar.

Here in Greece we actually don't put any lemon juice or pepper... 😅but still glad you enjoy it that much 😊
Also about the cucumber we usually peel it off ... 😅
Sorry if I sound judgy or anything I'm just saying how we do it here, not trying to make you do it the same, enjoy it however you want and like, the fact that you love it makes me happy cause it's also my fave snack 😊

It’s called cacık in Turkey. We only add garlic, dill or mint. No parsley. We chop cucumbers fine. Don’t grate them.

Traditional greek tzatziki needs chopped fresh aneth / dill (not persil neither mint). cocumber and garlic and extra vergin olive oil of course, sel and pepper . Greek yoghurt is what really makes the difference ❤

In Greece we make it without the herbs ( although some might add dill) and vinegar instead of lemon. Everything else correct. A tip is to wait sometime before you eat it because the garlic combines and kicks In more

this is a typical side dish where I come from.. but I never had it with grated cucumber. we usually just chop it finely.. but still it's really good. and I love how diverse your food choices are .. great job 💙💙
