Hey docs, was wondering about the two 10 year studies on finasteride. It seems, if I'm understanding it correctly, that they saw MORE growth/regrowth in the 5-10 year period. I thought fin would gradually stop working or that you would see the "final" results in the first couple of years, but the studies seem to say otherwise.

Even at 20% reduction of test to dht is beneficial for MPB. And it is not true that it needs to be at 60% to be effective. SP is good for those men who have early signs of MPB ad want to intervene with a natural treatment rather than synthetic. My advice: derm roll, apply pure raw organic coconut oil (natural 5 alpha reductase) and take saw palmetto. Do this for 3 months and check your results.

So I switched from finasteride and rogaine to onion juice and saw palmetto about 6 months ago. Not only has it worked but it has worked far better in every way. 3 months ago I added rosemary oil to my routine and it only enhanced my results more. It has completely changed my life

I agree with yalls assessments fs.. i started my hair regrowth journey by buying 7 bottles of natural supplements, and it mightve helped just a bit, maybe, but i dont get results like i do with finasteride

I’ve been on finasteride for about 4 years now. When I first started, I noticed that my hair felt super strong, scalp inflammation/pain eliminated and my skin was dry. Now, it feels like finasteride has stopped working - hair is thinner, scalp feels a bit more inflamed and I’m producing a lot more sebum. Why is this happening? I didn’t think that finasteride would ever become ineffective??

Hi doctors. 40 years old. Pretty mild hariloss overall i would say. That eas before treatment i should say.
Been on Minoxidil 2 years.
On finasteride for 1, 5 months, 0.5 mg every other day. Started dermapen around this time too. My hair has really thinned out since, is this Normal? Im kind of freaking out here.

I've been using min for about 6 years. Had side effects from fin. Added a saw palmetto shampoo and have noticed increased thickness and volume in hair so am happy with it. The only other medication that has worked on me is min. Rosemary oil, microneedling and other things didn't seem to have an effect.

If it remains in the scalp for 30 days, then what’s the point of drinking every day or every other day..? I drank once every 2 weeks and that’s it, no?

I have a question. How long should you wait after using a ketoconozole shampoo before applying minoxidil?. Will waiting a few hours allow the shampoo to settle and soothe the scalp be better, or does it not matter?.
