I think Toyotarou could design the next few arcs very well.
Like you explained, the overall edginess lines up with the events that are coming up like Granolah's redemption arc and Broly's revenge against Frieza.
The Black Frieza arc should be dark so i think Toyorarou will do great, and with some supervising and some hard work he will definitely find balance between Toriyama's ideas and his own influence.

Okay imagine this:


Piccolo goes on a quest to universe 6 to find out more about his new form. He's curious to see if the 2 Namekians he fought in the ToP might know anything about that, as they are a combination of their entire race. Upon talking to the 2 Namekians, he finds out that u6 also had their own version of the Nameless Namekian with immense power and potential, although he had a very different history than Piccolo and Kami. This Namekian is Zalama. I'll leave Zalama's backstory over to you to fill in, as goes for tying the end together with Piccolo's orange form and its connection to the lore.

I want to mainly focus on the namek prophecies. u7's prophecy spoke of a super saiyan god. In this case, u6's prophecy tells roughly the same story. A Super Saiyan God once appeared in u6, long long ago, before Champa became the God of Destruction. And according to the prophecy, a new ssj God could appear any moment. When Vegeta visits planet Sadala like he promised Cabba to do, he meets the saiyan king of universe 6. Like Cabba said, he's a lot like Vegeta. A proud, goodhearted but still ruthless saiyan with the drive for battle. This saiyan is not quite as strong as Vegeta, but definitely has the same drive as him. Vegeta is impressed by his skills and character, admitting they are very much alike. Vegeta offers to train the saiyan king.

In the meantime, a lot can happen with the story to fill up the time of Vegeta training the saiyan king to the level of eventually Ultra Ego. Keep in mind that Caulifla and Kale were able to go from non super saiyan to rivalling Goku in Ultra Instinct Omen with the fusion. So this is not completely unrealistic, but it will take some time.

Anyways, the idea is that the saiyan king eventually challenges Champa for a duel. If he wins, he becomes the new God of Destruction. And with the power of Ultra Ego taught by Vegeta, he actually barely overcomes Champa and takes the title of Destroyer God. I like Champa so lets just say he does not get killed.


Now since Frieza got his new Black Frieza form, he will most definitely be infuriated by the fact that a saiyan has become a GoD. Especially after he already planned on taking over the Gods anyway. This will motivate him to go to universe 6 and threaten the saiyans to lure out the king. When the King steps up, he beats Frieza with about 80% if his power. (remember, he'd have to be a lot stronger than Vegeta in Ultra Ego to even defeat Champa in the first place, this saiyan is supposed to be the super saiyan God prophecized to come)

How the story proceeds is something I'll leave to you guys. But I think it would be interesting to conflict Frieza with Broly again, so maybe theres a way to tie that to my story. And ofc Goku and Vegeta have to have a role in this too.


I haven't really thought any of this out, I just wrote what came to mind but it would be very cool if my ideas would be used by someone to create an actual fan fiction or maybe even a fan manga. I wouldnt know where to even start doing that
