Possibly add opacity to the additions as well, so it'll have the shock like flash effect that lightning has

Then add a completely new path (not connected with the first) to the bottom left, so that's 2 lightning strikes, the effect will show more with the additional paths added to the first strike. Add like a particle effect ✨ever so lightly here and there and colors such as making the strike orange, yellow, purple, then you really have something new! Blue 🔵 and so on if you see the vision?

Maybe dumb question but anyway what is the best way then of exporting just the lightening element? Cause if you add it above other elements doesn't the glow effect those other items that you might not want it to?

6:07 How do you delete points on the path without it either creating a new shape layer or just selecting the whole shape layer? When either of these things happen, it means I can't click on individual points on the path.

instead of using glow we could use saber plugin to make it more realistic

You should be adding those two additional paths with like a drag tool if you will. Or you can "Track" them in and then add a little opacity I believe. I'm just spiraling this around I don't have true Graphic Design skills but I'm a novice lol maybe my description can help. 🤙🤙🤙

When i do adjustment layer it does the glow effect on the whole thing not just the lightning, but im following your exact steps so not sure what im doing wrong
