Modern firearms propellant has O2 locked up in it already. The oxygen is locked in to the chemical composition of the propellant. The reason the O2 is chemically in the propellant is the combustion of the propellant needs to be too fast to get O2 from around the cartridge. Also a cartridge would not contain enough air space inside to provide the O2 required for such an energetic explosion. So yes it will fire in a vacuum. With 14psi more force because that is taking away atmosphereic pressure.

Actually. There is ALWAYS gravity. Haven't you been to high school physics? Though it may be incredibly small, its still there. And, You move at a (Mostly) constant speed. There is not slowing down or speeding up. If you are spinning in space for example, you cant stop. No matter which way you lean, you must use other objects to stop you. So there is gravity. Just no resistance. You can move as fast as you want, but theres nothing to slow you down unless you hit something.
