Really smart tbh, similar scenario... I've personally had some occasions where a customer comes back with complaints of a screen' backlight bleeding through the edges of the phone I repaired for them simply because they took off the rubber bands I attached earlier than I advised (yeah I use rubbers cos they work fine for me lol)

I did a battery replacement for a iPod nano 6th generation. I looked at the bottle of glue I was using and it says for best results wait for 2 days.... I waited for two days

At that point the customer should just… glue it themselves and look up how to fix it. Costs way less and takes less time. Plus it makes you in control.

Yeah E6000 (the real version of the glue you have) takes like a week to cure.

Not so bad with stuff like this, but I use it for magnetic phone holders in the car, and I just cover them with painter's tape for a week, hoping that I'm not tempted to use them.
