“Math ain’t fun unless your good at it”, a line I’ve never felt more in my bones

It’s really sad some people can actually be like this and not regret it.

I love how Lia defends Heavenly so much, she understands because her sister is autistic. I also love how she says "Autistic person" instead of "Person with autism". Autism is not a disease or a negative thing so when someone says "Person with autism", they make it sound like it's a bad thing or some kind of disease. Thank you Lia I love you so much <3

as a person with autism, i get bullied almost daily for being on the spectrum, this is really relatable. just goes to show that people that are on the spectrum can do normal things to.

Autism isn’t a disability, it’s a gift and that’s coming from someone who is Autistic

The autistic people that are good at math are honestly lucky. I have dyscalculia and am horrible at math myself. It's a bummer because I do pretty well at other subjects like history, science and english. Everyone's gifted differently, I guess.

As an autistic person, this actually made me laugh quite hard. It’s funny that some people think that being on the spectrum means the only thing you know how to do is exist! I am not good at math but I have been reading college level medical textbooks since I was 7, and now I want to be a nurse after I graduate in a few years and I am very passionate about anything medical🙂

As an autistic girl who was bullied for 4 years straight because of the way she was, this made my heart do a back flip. I wish all people knew that autism is not a label or anything, sometimes it just means you need a little more help than other and your behavior is a little different, it doesn't mean your bad at everything. It took me years to realize that.

I have autism and I got upset in school when I was made fun of for and so did my brother. Having autism doesn't mean you're slow or anything it just means you learn differently then others. everybody has their own thing they're good at it doesn't matter if you have autism or not.

I understand Heavenly's pain, as a person with Tourette's, my friends would say things like "oh, no you can't do this part of the project, it's too hard for your syndrome to understand."

It hurts but it's the way God created everyone ❤

I am not officially diagnosed for autism but I know I definitely am since I have many traits of it and did a lot of research on it which I am gathering for when I can get an official diagnosis. I may not have been bullied for it but my family made it a lot harder for me with not getting me diagnosed as a child, I had many overstimulated breakdowns even as a teenager which my family thought was just tantrums I guess. I didn't know much about it then and only two years ago started collecting research about autism and about what triggers an overstimulated breakdown for me and what my boundaries are. Being undiagnosed is not easy, you feel not valid at all but you worry you still get judged, either you're faking it to or they make fun of you for being different. I am not listened to about the foods I can or can't eat, I am not always prewarned if something comes up which gives me anxiety because then the plan I made for the day is changed and I don't know what to prepare myself for then. The things I want is to get a diagnosis, feel valid and to not feel alone but where I am a diagnosis is expensive so I am trying to figure out where is the best place to get one, I live in Germany by the way. I won't tell my family about the diagnosis when I get it even if it is the family. Both my mum's brothers have it, one severe and the other not so much but they treat them different and I don't want them to treat me differently because of my diagnosis. I worry I will be seen as something less than them then and that is the last thing I want. It isn't easy for me to be open about it and I still am learning to accept it instead of wishing to be normal because well I am who I am and I shouldn't have to change that just because people aren't able to do research. I am not sure how many undiagnosed autistics are here but I just want to say that you are not alone and it isn't easy at first to accept, it is a lot to take but you will be ok with it eventually and learn to be your true self. I hope one day I can learn that too completely.

Math, Art, and Computer are such a triple threat for me in high school. I'm glad there was a regret in this story but there are people who like to take advantage of people who learn differently and never look twice at his or her feelings about possible friendship.
