FS2020 - Pop-out instruments and multiple monitors Tutorial

In this video, we see how easy it is to use instruments in FS on other monitors as well as in 3rd persion.

I'm sure lots of folks are already aware, but just in case. We can toggle between windowed and full screen modes by single clicking in a blank area of the screen and tapping Alt-Enter (hold down the Left Alt key and tap the Enter key). This also works for the pop out screens if you have dragged them to another monitor, it gets rid of the bright white title bar. Thanks for the videos Sir, much appreciated.

This is handy on multiple monitor setups if you have all controls mapped on some physical device. But it would also be great to have an option to bring full g-1000 to the touchscreen, together with all the buttons

Is there any way to remember popout locations? For example, if I separate 3 instruments and move them to 3 different monitors, it would be nice if there was a way to reload this setting without having to redo it every time.

It may be worth noting that as of launch to the time of this writing, popping out a window in FS2020 may penalize you with a frame rate hit as high as -10FPS. If you are at/near your threshold for playable frame rates, doing this may result in an unacceptable flight sim experience.

The "MSFS window mode" is not visualized, I guess, because you are recording only MSFS "app" and not the whole desktop. Then when you set MSFS windows on your secondary screen (which, I think is vertical) we only see MSFS window turning from landscape to portrait....

Thank you for this video! How do I "pin" or save the pop out instruments so when I re launch the game, they are already pop out and in the same position I had them?

Is it possible there's a keybind out there or available to put on for the screens to pop out when I press that button? I just have my own sim in home cockpit mode and don't want to have to click it every time i have to fly

Very timely. I have a two monitor set up and would love to have the Garmins on a separate screen as they are hard for me to see when I am using my Honeycomb controls. Are you able to get both screens running at the same resolution and refresh rate? That's eluded me so far (not specific to MSFS). A problem for another day. Thanks for sharing this!!

Nice feature, what would help as well would be if the function keys would pop out with the screens, this feature in X-plane helps immensely.

Thanks. Do you now how can i save the splitscreen Settings? I must drop it on every new fly to the second and third monitor. Give it a Profile saveing or a second Software to load the Settings

They need a similar feature as xplane 11 where you can pop the screen out and actually adjust things in that view.

I need to be able to create 2 extra windows of the front view, drag them to L and R monitors and then simply turn the view until I'm looking out the side windows.
Window stretching doesn't work.

FSX had this feature. How could MSFS miss this??

How do you get it to remember your pop outs positions? It's a royal pain to set them up each flight

you can setup any key the key bind is under cockpit camera new window UI, i setup all my controls for every plane from the scratch i don't use default.

I do this with the glass panels i cant of the one thats touchscreen but i use a tablet with spacedesk and i can tap away
