Also, the way it describes Syrio killing them with just a training sword was much more believable. I don’t think they where wearing helmets in the book scene and it described him striking them in the head so powerfully and precisely that it killed them and the narrator even remarks how astonished and frightened Aryia was at this and how it filled her with amazement for her “dancing teacher”. God the book was good, I only ever read the first one but DAMN was it good!!

We never saw Syrio actually die. Would’ve been cool to see him come back in a meaningful way later on but that would of course require good writing and reviewing previous episodes.
