We recently spent 12 nights in Scotland visiting places I’ve wanted to go to for a while. Stayed on CCCS, CLs, and Findhorn motorhome stopover and independent sites. This video has given me more ideas for cutting the cost of the next trip 😬. Great information

Hello, you are such a Fina ambassador for Scotland. Your videos are very informative and encourage me to come. Not with a camper but with a modifyed Jeep which will serve me for sleeping as well. Not every night, but every second or so. The biggest problem is actually to know where to stay, but I'm going through your videos to get more informations. Thank you Sir!

We rent out my sons house for short term holidays. It helps to bring money into a rural area. In return we book rural houses in various parts of Scotland. Would love a VW camper van, but they are pricey.

Fantastic video Cameron. I found it a breathe of fresh air to hear Scotland are mainly embracing campervans/motorhomes.
Its hard to understand why most of the UK shut down the freedom to stopover and help with local economies.

This is brilliant Cameron. Very informative. Just spent a fabulous week on Mull.
Must get the message out to ALL vehicles travelling to Scotland for leisure. You are visiting places where people live and work so please please don't make the locals mad by holding up traffic. Pull over, let them pass. USE the passing places where provided on single track roads. Don't just bulldoze your way ahead expecting oncoming traffic to reverse (never reversed so much in my life as on this trip) mostly for Audi drivers 🤔. Can they not see the passing places? Do their vehicles not have reverse gear ? Do the drivers know how to reverse?? 🤨 I always, always, always pull over for local traffic or if I'm going slow. We are guests in their areas. Also we make a point of buying local too. We dont stock up before we go. Happy camping to all 😀

Thankyou Cameron, we had a peaceful evening at Easdale and a good dinner and a beer at the Oyster Bar. My only criticism is the parking was not very level but as the park was empty we tried arround for the best spot.

Good video thanks. I was hoping to do a week in Scotland this year, I live in South Wales, otherwise known as rip off land, about 70 miles from the Pembrokeshire coast, where we normally seem to end up, as it is very convenient. Unfortunately, , when I looked into it I realised that I was looking at around £400 for fuel for a Scottish break, which, on a pension is not feasible. Lets hope fuel prices return to normal soon, but I am not holding my breath.

Really good and informative video Cameron - thanks. I use my campervan to access fishing, as well as the hills so only visit sites for essentials. Today here on Skye, I was coming back home from a hill loch via the road past Storr. It was nearly impassable due to stupid parking by cars and campers. Despite the new car park which carries a charge and was by no means full, people had thrown advisory traffic cones in the heather in order to park inside double yellow lines leaving no room for two cars to pass on the road! Meanwhile the car park has a limit of 2 meters so campers must park on the allocated roadside area. This was full of cars leaving little room for campers. Mostly visitors are very considerate but the few that aren’t make life very difficult for locals which is a sad situation.
