Over the past 25 years, Salesforce has had a meteoric rise in the world of enterprise technology, and in turn, so has its job market.

But it's been a pretty long time since Salesforce's humble start-up days, so a question stands: is Salesforce still a good career option in 2024/25?

I started my certification journey to get my associate SF certificate, I have learned a lot so far, I know there is a lot of people around the world looking for a better salary and a better job opportunity, I wont give up, nobody said it was gonna be easy.

Additionally, I would point out to people that while there is a shortage of jobs for people new to the Salesforce ecosystem, they should also consider this. The Salesforce CRM system is complex and becoming more complex with each passing day. Salesforce, the company rolls out updates and new features three times a year. Someone who is going to have a career in Salesforce in particular and IT in general, needs to have a learner mindset. It's literally the opposite of a person I heard on the train today. They said "I'm a doer, not a learner. I hate going to school and learning new things." If this is you, then find another career other than Salesforce or IT. With all the changes being made to IT and Salesforce, it requires someone who is willing to learn new things constantly. If you don't, you'll be out of a job and unhappy to boot.

It's definitely become more difficult, I wouldn't recommend anyone to join salesforce right now. Just too much competition, for the specialists with FSL or CPQ/RLM, you should be fine, but the market for clouds like marketing, service, sales and admin is saturated.

Thank you so much! This was the question I was seeking to be answered since I am skeptical of it being an entry level role exclusive of an established background in technology-related fields.

SFDC is completely saturated! Everyone has a dozen certs & there's 1000s of "Consulting Firms" contributing to the saturation... I'm still in the space but no longer excited about SFDC & actively looking into less convoluted solutions for my clients.

Hi Ben, thanks for your video! Question: I've about 7 years of overall experience in program / product management and I'm planning to get into the salesforce ecosystem to try and land a role as a salesforce product manager or a functional consultant. What do you reckon my chances are? Any advice?

Does it still worth to pay for to be a Salesforce Admin and then Salesforce dev in next three years? Does this path makes sense for near future?

Not just salesforce, after pandemic due to free money printed by US and given to corporate companies most of the businesses wants ready made low code platforms to be implemented in their businesses irrespective of cost, likewise mulesoft which is very expensive enterpise app suite. Now when the dust settles there is no demand. No viable option. Not only with Salesforce every company who shifted to low code no code solutions. And for every tech its tough job market now.

Well, Ben/everyone,

I have a question for you (hoping for an honest, realistic reply). Right now, I am a Junior Associate with 7 months of experience at a startup, but in the future, I’m looking to build a career in the Salesforce ecosystem. What are my chances of landing a job in 2025?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

Yeah if you're Entry level, just stop and go look for something else because you have no chance. There are bootcamps like Talent Stacker which will try to tell you otherwise, don't give your money to them because you will regret it deeply.
