Amazon Banned My Account

My Amazon FBA account was deactivated and I lost my seller privileges. In this video I tell my story and give you a warning about selling on Amazon that every seller needs to hear. It doesn't matter if you do retail arbitrage, private label, or wholesale... you are at risk!

There are many rules that most sellers are not aware of when selling on Amazon and using their FBA service. One of those rules is you cannot have multiple accounts unless you get special permission from Amazon. This can get your account banned. Other ways to lose your Amazon account are from IP claims (intellectual property) or counterfeit claims. Shipping in boxes over 50lbs, not using polybags or bubble wrap when you're supposed to can all lead to account termination. Make sure to read all the rules and guidelines before selling. Also because of what 3rd party apps or services you use.

I'm Wick and I am a reseller for a living. I find things at garage sales, thrift stores, and even clearance at retail stores to sell. I do online arbitrage, retail arbitrage, and buy locally. While the majority of my business is done through Amazon FBA, I also sell on eBay or anywhere else I can flip the junk that I find.

I also trade stocks and futures, do affiliate marketing, and Merch by Amazon to make money online. My goal is to live a free life away from the typical 9-5 job.

Q: What Apps do you use to sell online (eBay and Amazon)?

A: I search the eBay sold and completed listings to get an idea of what products are selling for. I use the Amazon Seller App to scan for FBA.

Q: Can you make a living selling online?

A: Yes, the difficulty is based on how much effort you put in and how much you need to make each month. I do this full time.

Q: Where do you find your clearance products to resell?

A: Literally everywhere. Check end caps and look for clearance aisles, but mostly it will be mixed in. Ask a manager if there's any good clearance deals and build a relationship if possible.

Q: Do you make a full-time living selling online?

A: I do. All my bills are covered, I'm able to save a good amount, and put money back into the business. I also do other things to make money, but reselling is the meat. It takes a lot of work and dedication to make a full-time living reselling.

So, Amazon has now hit me with a policy Warning. They claim I abused their review system and reviewed my own item or put a negative review on a competitor... completely false. I'm assuming it's fallout from the recent multiple account connection ban. No way to respond other than to read an appeal and agree to it. This warning has put my account at risk of being lost again. I think I will wait a few weeks before I ship anything else in lol. Just thought I'd throw out this update here...

I was approved for an account but have not done anything with it. Will not after this. Hard enough dealing with the “other main”platform sometimes. Glad you didn’t give up and got your account back. Thanks for sharing. Agree that you need multiple platforms/sources of revenue.

Been watching for a while now. I'm so glad this had a happy ending! I have my own book on Amazon as an author, but as a reseller I've always stuck with eBay. I actually had my Amazon account hacked years ago, and the scammer was selling shoes through my account but not shipping anything. Luckily back then it was a quick fix on the phone. But I recently found out I'm ungated for shoes, which must have happened back then somehow. Anyway, I'll need to remember to avoid 3rd party situations! That's good advice. All the best!
