Outlook 2010 and Google Calendar Sync | How To Manage Calendar

Google Calendar Sync offers three types of Sync Options between Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar. Managing your calendar is simple with this method. I am able to access my google calendar from anywhere, while being able to work with it with Microsoft Outlook 2010 using Google Calendar Sync.

@SiaSound Cool... if you found something that works for you, probably best not to change. Yes, I think 2010 did a slightly better job not feeling so "cumbersome", but when using with IMAP, it is a tiny bit on the slow side if you ask me.

@Ograws I love open source, I just prefer Outlook over Thunderbird. I used to use Thunderbird a lot as a matter of fact.

Thanks for the comment. I actually don't use anything to manage my contacts - but I sort of wish I would. I currently just use gmail for my contacts, but nothing is real organized to be honest. I think I will look into this, and maybe shoot a video if I figure out a solution. If you come across a solution and remember, please let us know here! :)

Oh wow... did not know that - I started using the web interface only a month or so ago... Wow, that blows... I hope someone else comes out with a similar app to sync it! I will keep an eye out!

You can still manually do a Sync. You can save your outlook calendar file and manually import it.

Definitely not the same as a sync, as you won't be working with updated information, but it also doesn't take long to do at all.

@gammachaka I remember when it used to not work on 64 bit, but... I have been using it here on my 64bit machine for months with no issues.

Hey, thanks for the video. What do you use to sync your Outlook Contacts to Google Contacts? (assuming you use this feature). If you personally do not use this feature, do you know of a method/app that would accomplish this task? Thanks.

Nice video. I've been using Google sync but since I upgraded to Outlook 2010, I've found that outlook appointments which are either sent to me as an invite or appointments to which I invite others will not sync to my google calendar. Have you had this issue and if so, do you know of a fix for it?

I really liked Google calendar sync....while it worked....now, it stopped working. Google says it does not work on 64bit! argh

I just tried to find the app. Google says it is no longer supported but existing users can continue using it.

the app is too confusing?  nothing like you just showed on your video. I am going to get to the point I will just put in each event in each calender... less hassle I want to sync my Outlook calender with my Google calender..
