Our Scotland itinerary:
Day 1 - Edinburgh (please check out our Vlog Edinburgh Scotland for First Timers where we explore the New Town’s must see places such as Scott’s Monument, and Princes Street Garden, Old Town spots such as the Royal Mile, Victoria Street, Greyfriar’s Cemetery, Circus Lane, Dean Village, Calton Hill and many more including breakfast at Southern Cross Cafe, and dinner at Arcade Haggis and Whiskey House - please check out our Scottish Food Tour for this)
Day 2 - Picking up the rental car, and driving to the Highlands, stop over at The House of Briar, then to Urquhart Castle, then to Eileen Dolan Castle before driving to the isle of Skye and checking in at Sligachan Hotel, then evening walk to the Sligachan bridge, and dinner at Marta Restaurant.
Day 3 - after breakfast at Sligachan Hotel drove to Portree, then to the Old Man of Storr, and hiking to the top. Then driving to the Highlands to the Gelncoe Valley stopping at a farm with the Highland Coos. First stop in the Glencoe Valley is the Visitor Center, then the Three sisters then Lake Archtriochtan and the White House before driving to Glenfinnan Viaduct, then to Fort William for dinner before checking-in at Maclean Guest House.
Day 4 - Riding the Jacobite Steam Train aka Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Express, with it’s destination in the Town of Mallaig where we have lunch at The Cabin Seafood Restaurant, then back to the train back to Fort Williams, then drive back to Edinburgh to check in the hotel - Fraser Suites
Day 5 - Exploring Edinburgh: The Royal Britannia, Edinburgh Castle, The Meadows, The Fennel viewpoint ( please check out our Part 2 of Edinburgh Scotland for First-Timers), and early dinner at Makers gourmet Mash and Bar before the evening stroll along Royal Mile towards the Holyrood House.
