Summer nights with my grandparents in Cape cod where they had a small cottage on the beach. Slept on screened in deck and this was the sound all night. Best time of my life. Miss you so much gram and gramper.

I went in hard on good rest. I love God's creation of a perfect melody. I slept like a baby.

In 2016 I fell in love with Scotland and found a pink stone house almost in the sea. It had stood there for 400 years despite the storms, high tides and rogue waves. My bedroom faced the sea and this is the sound I heard every morning and night. Well actually sometimes the sea crept in so quietly I could hear the gurgles as it filled rock pools. Sometimes I’d look out and it would be dead calm with the moon shining across it, sometimes an early morning sun would fill my eyes with pink and gold. The waves would often reach high up leaving seaweed on my window sills. I loved it. I didn’t know at the time I moved in that it would help me through the darkest time of my life. Losing my son less than a week later. May 27, 2016. My world stopped, I was so broken, nothing made sense, I was lost. The sea comforted me, the patterns and sounds, the offerings and the regularity. I listen now and am taken back to that time stamped upon my heart and soul, and it brings me comfort when I need it. Love the people in your life, smile at everyone else, be love. Life is short, find what you love and that brings you joy and comfort, hope and peace. 💙
