My cousin is a professional musician who lives in the Pasadena area. He's currently on tour in Japan and is very worrried about his home, including instruments and music record collection. He has no idea if his home is still even around, that would suck....

Even here in Orange County, just south of L.A., the winds have been going like crazy and there's debris everywhere on the cars and streets. My prayers are with all the people of L.A. impacted by this nightmare that's taking place. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I'm from the south of Brazil and last year I lost my house and all my things due to a flood that covered 60% of my city.
The feeling of helplessness is horrible. I am praying for everyone who is suffering in this tragedy

I live out here in So Cal. I’m about 80 miles east of the devastation. The thing with living here is your always gambling living here. Between wild fires, earthquakes and the crazy Santa Ana winds? It’s a ticking time bomb. I feel for the ones that lost their homes😞 it sucks. But we also as humans brought this on our selves. There are so many indigenous species of trees and overgrowth we planted years ago! That should be here. And it’s all dry now. And it’s just waiting to burst into flames. I’m sorry to say it. But it’s 100% true.

I’ve been through two Australian bushfires. I have evacuated twice already this fire season when the weather makes the threat too high.

It is NOT a tragedy when property burns down. It is bad luck.

It IS a tragedy when life is lost.

Honestly feel worse for those not famous and wealthy. Born and raised in Los Angeles, this was always bound to happen, especially with poor leadership screwing it up. Haven't lived in Cali for years, but still hoping everyone there pulls through. Been trying to contact family members that still live out there, with no luck, so fearing the worst, myself.
