Rock Star Rumors That Are Actually True

As much as you may want to believe them, most rumors about famous celebrities are often completely false. Considering all the sex, drugs, and rock and roll in rock music, it's not surprising that almost every rock star has a few rumors that surround them. But, again, most of these simply aren't true.

However, don't despair, because in the midst of the countless made-up or exaggerated tales out there, some of these rock star rumors are actually true!

That was unnecessary censorship. Unless you're showing drugs being used or explicitly endorsing their use, there's no reason you can't mention drugs in this video. No advertiser is going to pull out because you listed the drugs a musician used (especially Rick James, who publicly admitted to using cocaine when he was alive).

Can we please stop censoring random stuff. It's easy to avoid profanity, but censoring drugs and crime is just pretending that it never existed in the first place. It doesn't lessen the impact of the issue and it is extremely distracting. And then I find myself trying to figure out what the actual topic is about while the rest of the video is playing, consequently missing a good bit of content.

If this is what creators have to do to maintain monetization, I'm going to have to get off YouTube all together because there is no point in watching a video if key points are censored.

People don't seem to understand stand that YouTube policy: At any given moment, YouTube can make a new arbitrary rule and then punish content creators by demoneterize their old content. That's what happened in the past when content creators used even mild profanity or mentioned a subject that YouTube suddenly deemed ban worthy.
