I wish professors started with explanations like this video before giving us a bunch of equations to memorize. Great video thank you!

Finally I could understand this topic. All the other videos say that it is not possible, they just make us learn these things by heart. But you have explained the reason behind, thx

Seriously hats off to you sir, Thank you for uploading such a simple video. This was so confusing and in every video, they are introducing new equations, which makes it more confusing.

Thanks for sharing this video bro because I was struggling with this concept but you made it easy again thank you so much bro.

Here's a very basic explanation:
To generate electricity you need 3 things: a magnetic field, a conductor, and a relative motion between the two.

In a generator that relative motion is caused by the rotating magnets in the rotor of the generator. Which induces (aka generates) a voltage into the windings (the conductor).

In a transformer that relative motion is produced by the expanding and collapsing magnetic field in the primary winding, causing voltage to be induced (aka generated) in the secondary winding.

If the primary winding were DC voltage then there would not be the expanding and collapsing magnetic field, therefore no relative motiin, thus no voltage induced (generated) in the secondary winding.

Very GOOD JOB but, you did leave some persons down the wrong road in and important way DC to DC power supplies. I do suggest that you also ad this Dc to DC and DC to Dc lastly to DC to DC meaning that you Reference the Current value s Small current to large current then Large current to Small current and lastly DC to DC as a coupling for feed-back and power regulators such as those of power supplies. Also coupling for job control as in Elevators motor drive system of these units. Be sure to show it after the transformer this will save some work if shown at the same time otherwise a quick reminder of AC transformer actions.

I understand! Why is the primary not a short circuit even though, it is a short circuit from a wiring perspective?

Hello I would like to ask something. The current is changing reaction all the time so does that not mean that it is not moving in any direction since it reverses all the time?

Ac wind turbine it puts out more power if I spin it backwards, will this hurt it? Going from ac to DC in hybrid charger...Blades make more noise but amps volts and watts make for a better yield... Any advice would be greatly appreciated... bless
