You can use any compiler to continue with lessons by MyCodeSchool. Anyway, from the options that you are getting for VS 2013 Express, select the one for Windows Desktop. If you are willing to use something else, install CodeBlocks. its light and good.

Keep it simlpe: You really don't need an IDE to write programs. You need a text editor and a compiler (accessed via command line). IDE's are for boosting the productivity of programmers. Great series of videos nonetheless.

Hi. I want to use Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2013 Edition. When I go to the downloads section I see 5 different versions for Visual Studio Express 2013. I am confused. Which version should I download to continue with the lessons by mycodeschool?
