Crazy someone really tried saying an automatic designed in the late 90s was faster than a manual and you can just tell they were born after 2005

Very best case scenario, specially for the times, would be 15 % loss. Hence 272 to the wheel, and these are fairytale numbers for a 90's trannie. That engine was brutally underrated and exceptionally well built.

You would burn up three modern direct injected gasoline engines before that 2JZ-GTE ever lost any cross hatch on the cylinders or had a blemish on a rod bearing. They are the pinnacle of Japanese quality.
