When to prescribe a minus lens.
I review a lot of these studies, and always ask that question.
My purpose is to work on my own recovery, before I go below 20/50 on my Snellen.
The scientific goal is to go from -0.75 Diopters to +0.25 Diopters, on 20/20. Wish me scientific skill and luck. You will succeed with your children.

Your use of Atropine, on your three children, is the only way you can prevent your kids from entering into myopia.
You have my total belief and support as you are doing it.
Real leadership - is always helping your own kids - by your example.

As an Engineer, I say that my, "atrocious reading habit", took my refraction down at a rate of 0.5 Diopters per year.
I work on objective science (primate studies) to prove that point.
I never blame an Ophthalmologist.
I blame my habits.
I need to start true prevention, before my refractive state (self measured) goes from 0.0 Diopters to -0.5 Diopters.
Then, by wearing a plus lens for all close work, I get my refraction to change to +0.5 Diopters, and confirm 20/20.

I just found out last week my 2yr old has myopia -2 in each eye and needs glasses. To say im shocked and full of emotions is an understatement. My worst eye in my 30s is -2 so im rather worried for her.

I m 24 I had eye allergy few weeks back ....due to which I used steroid eye drops by seeing a doc ....3 to 4 drops in each eyes it increases my chance of getting glaucoma, cataract ??

Will it thin the tissue and upper eyelid ?

My refractive measurements are very accurate, because I do it on a steady consistent basis.
I an responsible for my own eyes, and my prevention.
You can not be responsible - when I must do it myself.
I would be glad to do this, with you checking for any medical issue.
