was at Walmart and the rod I wanted had the tip broken off (naturally was the last one). I brought it up to the cashier and ended up getting it for free. It's a few inches shorter, but in useable condition. Sweeet!

Oh--KAY, this may be 10 years old but this instructional video is great for any year. My grandson broke a favorite small-gamefish Ugly Stik rod tip a couple of years ago, and of course I bought a new rod to save my Zebco 33. THEN I thought I broke my reel, and bought a new one. Of course, on another YouTube video I learned how to fix my reel, but no rod to fit it. My neighborhood Dick's Sporting Goods sold me an Eagle Claw (maker of hooks) Rod Tip Repair Kit just like the one you used here by Berkley. BRILLIANT! I'm not the handiest man in the world, but even I figured out how to replace that rod tip without burning myself or anything else, and I never dripped any of that glue on any unwanted surface. Damn! It was so easy following your instructions. Thanks, my savior Mr. Wired2Fish.

Great to find out a repair kit exists. I've got a nice graphite rod with the tip that got caught on the car door. Been real bummed about it. Now time to find the kit on prime. Not sure if it would be a good idea to just shorten the rod up to the next guide hole, since different size tips exist; I could use the shorter length rod. I'm just not sure how much that would affect the mechanics/bendability of the tip end.

I was looking on solution how to join broken parts together not how to use what is left of broken rod. I figured out how to use leftovers by adding front ring when I was 12 years old.

In the Texas weather that glue well melt again and detach ur rod tip. I had JBL weld laying around and that did the job.

I know how to replace a rod tip. I was looking for REPAIRING one that is broken about halfway between the last two eyes. Any idea on that? Thanks.
