Nice to hear a fellow cake decorator talking about the color fade issue, it drives me nuts! I use red to make all my pinks and stopped using purple entirely. Loving the monochromatic cakes!

Love this it looks like periwinkle my very favorite color! I’m a retired art teacher and what a great way to teach value to kids by showing your video to show them how adding white creates a tent just like with paint so you’re painting your cake with icing! Keep doing what you’re doing you’re amazing!

On camera, I'd say it definitely leans a bit more blue! But it still turned out very cute! Would love to see black to white for sure! I bet that would look pretty cool!

maybe a black to white with lots of swirl styles or a green with yellow being the added color if possible.

Very pretty! Although it looks pretty blue or indigo to me! 😅 Must be the lighting. Adding pinks and/or reds to the batter might help if you decide to do this purple wacky cake again!
