Years ago my late husband and I took in what we initially thought was an adult dog abandoned in the rual area where we lived. He was puppy. Our vet thought he was Mastiff and St. Bernard. Seamus grew to about 150 pounds. He was my boy. Very loving but protective. Especially of me. He went to the Rainbow Bridge 15 years ago. I miss him still. I like to think Seamus met my husband when he passed away. I will see again. ❤

I used to groom dogs and I had a client with a mastiff that I wouldn't even keep in a kennel. He just laid on the floor and people would step over him or around him. He was the biggest lazy baby ever. He didn't care what I did to him, including trimming his nails.

I had a Great Dane in my 20’s that would stand up on your shoulders to hug you. I’m 5’7 and he probably towered a foot over me and he’s still the best dog I’ve ever raised. Giant breed dogs will always have a special place in my heart.
