BLESS YOU!! i forgot how to solve this the math-way, and i would just take the difference from the midpoint and given endpoint and stuff and use that to figure out the other one.

(1, -4) (3, 2)
1 to 3 is 2. 3+2= 5.
-4 to 2 is 6. 2+6= 8.
