GIMP | Outlined Text

In today's tutorial, we will be creating text outlines. This is different than my previous outline text tutorial, as the text is just made up of outlines, with transparency in the center. Creating outlined text in GIMP is easy, and in this video I will show you two different ways to do it. One sees us using "Alpha To Selection" while the other utilizes paths. You will be able to see the quality difference between the two.

Thanks, this really helped. The second method worked better fro me too apart two intersects in the letters K and Y, which I easily cleaned up with the eraser tool.
