The reason why his hair is growing so strange, because he had a hair transplant decades ago, when the current micro grafting (you can put single follicular units piece by piece, making the result completely natural) technology wasn't available, only a so called "scalp flap transplant" was available, which involved a big sized skin's transplant to the bald region, which could lead to this messy growing angles.
