US to declare state of emergency: Trump confirms the use of military to deport migrants

US President-elect Donald Trump has confirmed he is prepared to declare a national state of emergency as part of a mass deportation of migrants.
Writing on his Truth Social platform, he responded to reports that he was considering the use of military assets.
Trump has pledged to deport what he calls “foreign criminals” who have entered the US illegally.
He made immigration a core issue in his successful bid for the White House.
