The spy who loved me was my intro to James Bond/Roger Moore. Still one of my favorites, both as Bond and the movie. RM was a class act. With the 2 best Bond actors now gone, the 25th in limbo and the future of the franchise uncertain...RIP James Bond & Roger Moore.

Thank God for youtube, and thanks for posting this! I remember at the time when this was on I turned on the TV to watch something on PBS, and the show was just ending. Roger has always been someone I admired and was fascinated with, so it was demoralizing to miss this, long before the days of affordable VCRs, DVDs, and Internet resources. It's magnificent to be able to watch these clips 40 years on, especially getting to see him at the height of his popularity! I recall reading on imdb that he appeared for multiple episodes of DC.

No 1 Bond, Sir Rodger Moore!
Went to see Rodger Talk, a few years ago @ Bath Theatre Royal. I asked him, who his favourite Arist was. Rodger, said Renoir!
Magic moment in my life ❤

The next Bond needs to add a little Roger Moore to the role. And when wearing a tux look a little less like a nightclub bouncer and more like a man of the world who knows his way around a wine list.

Roger Moore was just the epitome of the smooth and suave English Gent, with the most beautiful speaking voice to match. He was also born in October, under the sign of Libra, like me (as was his co-star, Britt Ekland) and I always think of him as the archetype Libran man; charming, polished, classically good looking. eloquent and witty, with a little tongue in cheek-cheeky playfulness. I really like this lighter and very 'British' quality, that he brought to the Bond character, whilst still retaining an effortlessly self-assured, alpha male presence. His films in the series are amongst my favourite.

It seems like these days we are the most open, crazy and wild compared with any other time in history, however, I've never seen anyone on a chat show in recent years with a shirt open that wide before.

Sir Roger Moore was the best 007 after completing 7 Bond Films and was replaced by actor Sir Timothy Dalton in 1987.

What a class act! If I were a talk show host these days, I'd quit immediately!

That's the same jacket he wore in For Your Eyes Only when Bond tries to find Gonzales.
