Live and Let Die Rescore - The Heroin Farm & Boat Chase

My edited rescore of Bond's escape from Tee-Hee's crocodile swamp and the ensuing boat chase through the Louisiana bayous using music from the Daniel Craig era of Bond films.

Some of J.W. Pepper's scenes were cut because they interfered with the pace of the chase and scoring. Considering the video is a staggering 18-and-a-half minutes anyway I can only hope the viewer can accept a few less shots of Clifton James's dipped tongue.

Film:
Live and Let Die (MGM, 1973)

Music, in chronological order:
"Day Wasted" by Thomas Newman
"Oil Fields" by David Arnold
"Pursuit at Port Au Prince" by David Arnold
"Time to Get Out" by David Arnold
"Backfire" by Thomas Newman

And absolutely best parts for me has always been when Sheriff Pepper showed up in the next Bond film. That was great.

This was when Bond movies were fun, they took you to some really different place and then just laid it on so you didn't want it to stop. So much going on in some of these stunts, like the massive boat jump and then the guy drives away as the boat is still in the air, that's just quality right there. Nice job with the rescore.

I love this stunt driven scene. Bond's gadgets were useless, so he improvises his grand escape. Best Roger Moore Bond' movie.

These were classics, so fun to watch; kept you glued to the screen; they just dont make them like this anymore. Roger was my fav Bond.

This was the coolest thing I'd ever seen the first time I saw it as a kid. I still love it!!

The special thing about these Bond films is that everything is handmade.
No computers.

I never saw my dad laugh so hard as he did when those boats crashed through that wedding. Thanks for this great clip! I love you dad! God rest your soul in paradise.

This is my favorite Bond film! It was what really introduced me to Bond as a child in the 70’s. Amazing music and cinematography here! One of my favorite chases of all the Bond films. Thumbs way up to the late Clifton James who played Sheriff J.W. pepper in this and another Bond film.

"He's a spy! On whose side?" One of my favorite lines from a Bond film.

Maybe not the most Bondian of scenes, but so some reason, this is my favorite part of all the Bond movies. Thanks for posting this.

Gotta love the puzzled look the two deputies give when Sheriff Pepper says "My other half of the family will catch him!" as a black man rides by in Billy Bob's boat. The broken traffic light still turning on top of his wrecked car was a nice comedic touch.

I had forgotten how hilariously long this boat chase scene was. Great rescore! 🎉

Sheriff JW Pepper is what really makes this great chase scene into what it is. His reactions to the ongoing fiascos are a treasure.

Did you know that Dr Kananga/Mr Big’s name derived from the owner of the croc farm Steve Kananga😃 He also did the croc jumping stunt👍

“The man who gets him, stays alive!”

That was my favorite line from this movie when I first saw it as a little kid. Love this scene!

The stunt boat doubles were exceptional in this chase.

Murray Cleveland Jnr was Sir Roger’s double for the chase, he also doubled for Roger when he jumps into the second boat (the gold CV19).

Jerry Comeaux was too small in stature to do the whole sequence as Bond’s double, so he just did the main jump over Sheriff JW’s car.

Overall it took 3 months (including practicing) for the boat scenes to be completed. Many of the people involved were locals.

In my view, it’s the best action chase of any bond film! 😊

Wish they had included David Hedison (Felix - best friend) more often . He played the part the best. Especially after License to Kill. They would have a couple of extra story lines. Thanks for the posts.😊😊😊😊 18:30

Sheriff JW Pepper (R.I.P). Thank you for delivering the best F-Bomb ever. (9:23)

"Well done Albert" 02':50"🤣🤣😂😂😂 You gotta love Roger Moore's cool, slick, elegant sense of humor.

The best action is real, not CGI!
This is a perfect example!
