I used the hdmi cable that came with the wii u, hooked it up, but the software didn't recognize the wii u

So if the hdmi cable is running from the Wii U to the HDTV, do you take out the end going into the back of the TV and put it into the Elgato? Or do you need to have 2 separate HDMI cables going out of the Wii U?

Hi there, thanks for the video but I have a few questions. My son just turned 7 and i finally caved in on letting him stream and do youtube videos, after 2-3 years of begging. BUT im curious to know if my Mac Book air is compatible for this streaming and so forth. Im not an expert with all this stuff. Its an early 2015 mac air, processor 1.6 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, memory 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, graphics Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB. thanks a lot.

Well wish it was that simple.. Wii I gives signal, as soon as I go to Wii games the signal is gone. 😔
