They seem like the honey badgers of the bird community. They don’t give AF.

I believe Miss Piggy said:
Never eat anything heavier than you can lift.

Most of the footage actually shows pelicans being affectionate, playful, curious, and feeding their young. They're biological mouths with wings, they do way more with their bills and gullets than just eat, they interact with the world in the only way they can.

Well I won’t feel bad for a pelican that gets knocked out by a human for trying to eat them. 😂

Do you use an AI voice? Or is it real? It’s kinda hard to differ for me.

The sad part is a lot of pelicans get hurt when they try this with other animals

There are videos on here where you can watch a pigeon struggle to try and get out of a pelican's mouth. I didn't see any successful pigeons. Unfortunately it takes several minutes for the pigeon to become exhausted.

Certain seabirds like gannets nest in huge colonies on cliffsides and rocky outcrops. Gangs of pelicans will walk through the colony like they own the place and gobble up random chicks. Parents will make zero effort to fight back because the pelicans are much larger and heavier than them. It is predicted plenty of seabirds hatch 2 chicks per season even though most will only make an effort to raise 1. This is because the larger chick will get stronger in the short term but be more attractive pickings to predators. If they get eaten then the smaller chick is insurance for the species survival. If they live, then the smaller chick will be starved to death. The selection pressure to drive such behavior for generations must be insane.
