I think alot of the people around him didn't let him grow up....then bad health took over...miss him..love these stories.

Thank you for the honest assessment of Elvis's life. many men do not start to grow up until they are 40. Elvis was having too much fun for him to care about the serious things about life.

True. Elvis was still a kid at heart hence always the younger girls. He never had the true chance to grow up. He was always in the fast lane and had no chance to really grow.

Lamar forgets that Elvis, unlike the MM-members, always lived in the real world and had to do a lot of hard work from the age of 20 onwards. The MM-members did live in wonderland but Elvis certainly did not.

I wish Lamar did some more interviews where he reflected on those years. He's one of the best storyteller's I've ever heard. That was his gift.

Yes Elvis liked to joke around but i think he was grown up from a very young age due to his family circumstances.
MM had a good ride with Elvis and after Elvis passed they all grew up.
It was all over for them. ❤️🇦🇺

I think that Elvis unfortunately lived his life the way many of us transition to different season changes, like how sometimes we get sick because we still dress too lightly for the oncoming fall into the winter. It seems as though he wasn't aware of physical health changes that came with age and didn't really change his behavior with age, God knows that i had a hard time suddenly needing more doctor visits and definitely waited too long on occasion before I eventually got into my doctor's office 😢

It's a little odd to say a man who had cared for and supported his mother, father, grandmother, assorted extended family members, close friends, a lot of employees, his wife, and his child since he was 19 never grew up. True, Elvis enjoyed pursuits some might find childish. True, Lamar never had to grow up as long as Elvis lived. But Elvis... he grew up when he was 13 and realized if his mother had any chance in life, Elvis had to step it up and start providing for the family, which he always did, paying the IOU at the grocery store many times without ever telling Gladys or Vernon.

Most of us men start growing up in our 40’s.

Elvis had a strong character.
He also seemed mature in his interviews (The military ones) But he could be a big kid and cut up with the boys too.
People said he like to joke around and prank people.
And was or wanted to be a dare-devil.
Maybe it was those traits made him seem so young at ❤ heart.
That probably was not a bad thing unless he was playing a joke on YOU. 😂
But then, i'm only guessing....

The rule is for men, if you don’t grow up by age 50, then you don’t have to. A man can be more responsible, in his 40s, and Elvis was. Elvis had been responsible since he was young trying to help keep a roof over their heads. He really grabbed the ball and ran with it. His father was not a big success as a man. I mean he tried but he just wasn’t a very successful at it.

Dude, you rode Elvis’s coat tails, you were only relevant because of E. If E had had competent management and been surrounded by people who actually loved him, he wouldn’t have passed at such a young age.
