It seems to find its own balance... when I went too extreme ( for me ) I found myself gradually buying bits and pieces to make it feel more like home. I keep it at a level that makes it comfortable not overwhelming

This made me appreciate the fact that the queen sized bunk bed we put in our son’s room left it with little space. It’s better if he doesn’t have a ton of stuff and he can still customize his room as he likes
