Type O Negative - Christian Woman
from the album ''Bloody Kisses'' (1993)

Lyrics:

Forgive her for she knows not what she does

A cross upon her bedroom wall
From grace she will fall
An image burning in her mind
And between her thighs

A dying God, man full of pain
When will you come again?
Before him beg to serve or please
On your back or knees

No forgiveness for her sins
Prefers punishment
Would you suffer eternally
Or internally?

For her lust, she'll burn in hell
Her soul done medium well
All through mass manual stimulation
Salvation

(Corpus Christi)
She needs
(Corpus Christi, corpus Christi)

(Corpus Christi)
She needs
(Corpus Christi, corpus Christi)

(Body of Christ)
She needs
(Body of Christ, body of Christ)

She'd like to know God
Ooh, love God
Feel her God
Inside of here, deep inside of her

She'd like to know God
Love God
Feel, feel, feel her God
Inside of here, deep inside of her
Inside of here, deep inside of her

Jesus Christ looks like me
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ looks like me
Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ looks like me
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ looks like me
Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ looks like me
Jesus Christ, yeah
Jesus Christ looks like me
Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ looks like me
Jesus Christ, yeah
Jesus Christ looks like me
Jesus Christ

Type O was by far the loudest show I've ever been to. At one point the volume nearly put me to my knees. And I remember Pete saying, "if you're gonna drink and drive, run over somebody you hate."

So rock n roll

“Would you suffer eternally or internally?” One of the best lines in a song.

As a 16 year old, I can say that I just discovered Type O Negative a few weeks ago, and I’m absolutely obsessed and I love it! This is one of my favourite songs so far!

Even with 4 million views on YouTube and 11 million plays on spotify, I still feel like this is a criminally underrated song.

I was 15 when I discovered them and I remember listening to this every morning after getting up around 6am. In winter, it was still dark outside and it was the perfect soundtrack. In summer, the sun would have already come up, flooding my room with light, and it was the perfect soundtrack. I now live on Margarita Island, it's always sunny and warm and this is still the perfect soundtrack.

I first heard this back in 1992 when trying to figure out life. My roommate and I used to drive around with the windows down blasting this and talking about life, God, pain, etc. A few years ago I received a call that he had decided he couldn’t be in this world anymore. I sat out by the fire that night reminiscing and put on some Type O for Tim. RIP.

My dad showed my this song today and my 11 month old daughter was literally smiling & dancing to this. I’ve played Alice In Chains, Pantera, all kinds of other rock music and she NEVER reacted the way she did with any other bands. Crazy. It made us both laugh cuz she’s just a baby but was legit grooving to this lol raising her right I must say so myself 😄

I remember being a young boy and hearing 00:50 sound through my house through my older brothers bedroom in wonder at what the beauty of this new musical sound was

I've been listening to Type O Negative since I was 13 years old. Still love them at 39. They have several great songs, but this one has always been my favorite.

Pete’s voice obviously gets the praise it deserves and is of course amazing, but I think there needs to be credit given to that riff, it’s like it’s being played with a all round track.

Type O Negative -
The only band to have literally no bad songs

I was so naive when I was younger..I didn't realize their lyrics were tongue and cheek. It took me a while to get the were purposely being humorous in some of their songs. Because the music was so beautiful and sounded so serious, I couldn't believe Black #1 was about hair dye for example. lol. Great song.

I saw Type 0 perform in a club called the Limelight in NYC 1994-ish, an old gothic church turned into a night club, and what an incredible show that was in that atmosphere. It was not the best live performance I've seen (Rammstein wins that one), but it was by far the best venue and place for a gothic metal band like Type 0 to play- it was as simply put, a dark ambient music and drug fueled religious experience. One I'll never forget. RIP Peter, there will never be another one like you.

It should be noted to newer fans, if you like Type 0 and thrash/deathmetal, check out Peter Steele in the band Carnivore. Carnivore proceeded Type O Negative in Peter's musical journey and his vocals were much different with Carnivore. Extremely hardcore music in comparison to Type O's heavy guitar/gothic metal sound. You can really hear the progression in Peter's vocals as he matured and found his sound.

I remember well, back in 94, my Goth friend Brett used to come over to play magic: the gathering, but he brought with him 2 CDs and said " Joe you gotta listen to this. " I wasn't into metal that much, but when Brett played Christian Woman and Black no. 1 (, little miss scare all) I was kinda enchanted, I listened to the entire Bloody Kisses and the other CD was origin of the feces, I was hooked, and everyone I knew was too. RIP Peter Steele
