wouldn't this be better if sliced very thin for sushi instead of a thick block? I think the texture would be better

Seafood was so hard for me to give up! I assumed cheese was gonna be the thing, but nope. I decided that if I ever wanted to eat seafood again, I would have to fish for and process it myself. So far, 10 years going strong. Lions mane are "scallops" and lobster mushrooms the best "fish" tacos.

I would like to try this. There is a vegan restaurant close to where I live that make vegan sushi & one looking at it wouldn’t believe it’s vegan sushi; the taste is superb! Wouldn’t mind making my own with this product.

Maybe chopped lightly and mixed with spicy sauce to do like a spicy salmon roll? To help with the texture.

I’ve been using their products for awhile because I love sushi so much. I cannot live without it. Try everything. While far from perfect they’re pretty good

Waiting for the day that lab grown smoked salmon becomes a thing. I do miss eating it, but this stuff is way too expensive for my budget.

Usually oriental markets cover alot of these non meat sea foods, and the addition of seaweeds and other sea vegetables would help, as well as other fermented components..

These are going to be the next standard in plant based foods..

Fermentation is being augmented by data science ai strats to do large amounts of experiments and find matching chemical molecules, reducing the effort involved in developing answers to taste concerns-
This is not only important for matching flavors, its also important for reducing unwanted flavors, such as eliminating certain tastes from pea protein..

The animal product industry is under fire right now for manipulating academia to influence dietary guidelines- something a few of us have been warning about for the last 20 years.

I dont think its actually going to change anything.

Veganism has lost its value, like how vegetarianism did. 🤷

I’ll pass, not missing fish.

I get a sort of fish like taste from eating flax, and I don’t like it. Still eat flax, but I try to mask the taste with other flavours.

Live in Taiwan and we have some perfect vegan sashimi here 😋 They taste really yummy, even my non-vegans friends approve!

Just a warning: there's not very much protein in this. (It's mostly carbs.) So eat it with a side of edamame or something
