The entire “Rumours”” album is generally recognized as a masterpiece. Don’t miss it if you can help it.

This is Lyndsy Buckingham - the guy playing the guitar in Landslide - singing lead on this song.

This album is flawless. One of the ultimate masterpieces in the whole canon of rock and roll.

This one is sung by Stevie’s long-term boyfriend (ex) and the guitarist, Lindsey Buckingham. (He’s a guy). They were a duo called Buckingham Nicks before they were asked to join Fleetwood Mac. They made this album, Rumours, while they were breaking up. Many of the songs are about each other and their ensuing breakup.

This song is magic. I'm 56 years old. When I'm driving down the road on a beautiful spring day, with the windows open and this song comes on, I'm instantly a teenager again. ;)

Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie all take turns at lead vocals. You have to dig deep to before Stevie joined. They were basically a blues band in their early days.

Has anyone said listen to Christine McVie sing Songbird from this same album? One of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. She just not get enough credit for her stunning voice.

Huge heartbreak song from Lindsay to Stevie Nicks. Lindsay killed it and John’s bass really stands out to me in this song. Just a great jam.

Rumours is one of the all-time best albums ever made. The band was falling apart inside. Christie McVie (keyboards) was cheating on her husband John (bass) with guitarist Lindsey Buckingham (singing this one) who was Stevie Nicks' boyfriend, but she was sleeping with Mick Fleetwoood (Drums). They could have imploded, but instead channeled all that energy and anger and sadness into this album. Pain always makes for great art.

The lead vocalist and guitarist on this one is Lindsey Buckingham. He was the one accompanying Stevie Nicks in the Landslide performance. They were a couple and were going through a nasty break up during this album. The bassist and pianist John and Christine McVee were also getting divorced during this album.

“Dreams” is the Fleetwood Mac song with Stevie Nicks singing in the Ocean Spray commercial. ❤️

This song is sung by Lindsey Buckingham. This guy is the most underrated guitarist in rock. In my opinion he deserves more recognition for geniuses talent.

This entire album was written while band members were having problems with their relationships, which made for an amazing album. Imagine singing backup on a breakup song that was written about you.

Lindsey Buckingham is singing lead in this song. He’s also the band’s guitarist. He is an extraordinary guitar player. You should check out his solos in the live versions of “I’m So Afraid” and “Big Love”. You both will be blown away! 🎸

Lindsey and Stevie wrote songs back and forth about their relationship ending. She wrote Dreams (that's your Ocean Spray song!), he wrote Go Your own way, she wrote Silver Springs, then they performed them intensely on stage. It was a very interesting time.

"Rumours" was written and recorded during a period where the two couples in the band, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham and John and Christine McVie, were in the throes of breakups and divorce. The energy of those trials led to some of the best rock music committed to tape.

Buckingham, Nicks and Christine McVie all share lead vocal duties on this and most other Mk. II albums.

"Go Your Own Way" is written from Lindsey Buckingham's perspective about the state of his relationship with Stevie Nicks. At turns he asks her to come back to him and accuses her of shacking up with someone else while he's still in love with her. It's Buckingham laying his own feelings bare for Stevie Nicks to see. It didn't work, of course. They still broke up.

"Rumours" is worth listening to all the way through. The stories it tells show that even a group of people going through heartbreak can channel that in to powerful songs with some truly creative musical moments.
