Jimmy Fallon: Short Biography, Net Worth & Career Highlights
Показать описание
James Thomas “Jimmy” Fallon was born on 19 September 1974, in Brooklyn, New York City USA, of Norwegian descent through his mother, and Irish and German through his father. He is a comedian, actor, singer, musician, and even a producer, but is perhaps best known as the host of the late-night TV program “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”.
So just how rich is Jimmy Fallon? Celebrity dot money estimates that Jimmy’s net worth is now over 45 million dollars, accumulated during his career in the entertainment industry which began in the mid-1990s.
After Jimmy Fallon matriculated from school, he was encouraged by his (apparently very loving) mother to try out on the open mic night, as he had become interested in stand-up comedy from listening to radio shows and watching it on TV. Jimmy then dropped-out of The College of Saint Rose to concentrate on a career in the entertainment industry, and it is safe to say that his career – at least as an amateur comedian - was fully launched when he performed in the “Bananas in Poughkeepsie” club, located in New York City. He then pursued his career further by moving to Los Angeles, and joining the improvisation humor group called The Groundlings. There he began to work on the stand-up routine which made him famous. This also helped him to pass an audition for his favorite show of all time – “Saturday Night Live”, which eventually helped Jimmy to obtain a significant fortune. He was a permanent cast member of Saturday Night Live from 1998 until the season of 2004.
After Jimmy Fallon left SNL, he moved on to making movies. As an actor, Fallon starred in such movies as “Factory Girl” along with Sienna Miller and Guy Pearce, “Whip it” along with Ellen Page and Kristen Wiig, “Taxi” in 2004, and “Fever Pitch” together with Drew Barrymore. These all contributed to Jimmy’s net worth.
After his years concentrating on making movies, Jimmy became the host of the television show called “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” in 2009, and which lasted five years. The success of Fallon was built around his relaxed and friendly style of humour - rather than critical and aggressive - which characterises other, similar shows. For example, Jimmy’s dog is named Gary Fick, and he often appeared on Jimmy’s show. Jimmy also performed an interesting public stunt, by participating in Dr. Oz’s Show in an episode during which Jimmy had a mole on his left hand removed in front of Dr. Oz’s studio audience, performed by a very well-known plastic surgeon -Dr. Arthur Perry. These public stunts are only a few reasons why Jimmy has succeeded in making his net worth of millions of dollars.
Jimmy has also released his comedy album called “The Bathroom Wall” which was one of the nominees for the Grammy in 2003 in the Best Spoken Comedy Album category. No wonder Jimmy’s net worth is so impressive.
Most recently, as of early 2014 Jimmy Fallon has taken over from the retired Jay Leno in hosting “The Tonight Show”, which is apparently just as popular as previously, and is sure to add to Jimmy’s net worth.
Speaking about his personal life, Jimmy dated various celebrities in the past, such as Tara Subkoff and Winona Ryder, but married production company owner Nancy Juvonen in 2007, and they now have two daughters through surrogacy.
