For a baker of cookies, it’s especially important that the
first batch look exactly as the last batch, to ensure that, a cookie cutter is used
to insure uniformity of product. When viewing a typical news-team on television
one would be hard pressed to be able to tell the difference between stations or
even networks, there seem to be a ‘people cutter’ busy at work turning out exact
copies of anchors and reporters. All the males look like teenagers, the females,
hair dyed dance-hall trash. So, why is it important to call attention to this
farse, most newscasts are seemingly tailor made to fit an audience that have
grown comfortable with the sameness of the appearance of journalists, as have the
content of the news they produce, rarely is current news content challenged by the
status quo, left wingers know where to get their spin as does the right of
center folk, with each view of the desired spectrum on the news, all leaving having
had their fill and feeling well satisfied.
