"Oppenheimer" star Cillian Murphy says being nominated for an Oscar is "very, very humbling." He calls the award the "pinnacle of achievement in film."

"60 Minutes" is the most successful television broadcast in history. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast began in 1968 and is still a hit, over 50 seasons later, regularly making Nielsen's Top 10.

It took 20 years for him to finally be recognized for the legend he is. I’m so very happy for him

Yes! He won it for “Oppenheimer” and so well deserved. Such an important film. “Those who refuse to learn from the past are destined to repeat it.”

Looks he knows he is one of the best actors, I have feelings Oscar doesn’t mean for him as much as for other actors.

Congrats on his win for Oppenheimer. He 💯% deserved it. I really hope he gets cast in a Barbie sequel as Human Ken in a real world who’s Sasha’s teacher and a love interest of Margot Robbie’s Human Barbie (now goes by Barbara Handler), and also cast him as the iconic villain Dr. Doom in the MCU.

Oscar for trying to justify himself for one of the most terrible war crimes in the history of mankind. For the only use of nuclear weapons in the history of mankind. For using it not on military targets, but on civilian ones. And this use of nuclear weapons did not affect the course of the Second World War in any way. Japan was already doomed, the Allies had destroyed the Imperial fleet. And the only thing left for Japan was the Kwantung Army and the USSR defeated the Kwantung Army . Without an army and navy, Japan surrendered.

The Oscars were created as a marketing tool and that's their primary use to this day.

#60Minutes - I absolutely disagree here: An Oscar to me is a symbol of *corruption*. Proof that you are accepted by the "In Crowd" and that its your turn in the spotlight, because the industry has prepared a swath of money making schemes around you. -
