However, the original backrooms picture IS real, but it is not the actual creepypasta we all know. It’s a picture taken of an old furniture store that was renovated due to water leaks. It’s now an RC racetrack.

If my assumptions are correct, this is VERY good Green Screen and tracking work. I'm assuming they had practical lights in the same position as well but maybe they relit it in post, I can't be too sure. Also the acting is indeed what a couple of dudes would do if they found an empty collection of rooms like this lol.
