They give people a reason to refer your Home Care company business! Campaigns are a great tool you can use when marketing and you can tailor them to match your services AND meet the needs of your potential clients. In this week's episode of "A Drink with the Hurricane" I cover a topic from the Hurricane Marketing Boot Camp. It's called "Killer Campaigns" and in it I teach how to differentiate yourself from your competitors by showing how your company can "specialize" in various areas.

I started off by looking at the top ten leading causes of death...diabetes, stroke, unintentional falls, cardiac arrests, etc. Then I made a program that shows what we (my company) could do to assist a person with one of those issues. What you have to realize is that the majority of people working in the healthcare industry have NOT worked in home care. The fact is that most of them don't even understand how it works or why people would need the service. Your job is to educate them on the need and explain how your company can truly help the people who are discharged from their facilities.
This is a great tool for educating the people at your referral sources, as well as a way to promote your company to specific groups of clients. The various programs are all based around your company's Standard Operating Procedures, and you simply explain how those procedures apply to a patient with that particular ailment. This way, your staff and internal operations person doesn't have to change the standard intake procedure from campaign to campaign. It's all in the presentation!
