🎵 The Rise and Fall of WWF: The Music 🎵

For years, WWF/WWE entrance themes were more than just music—they were the soundtrack of wrestling history. From the iconic glass-shattering of Stone Cold Steve Austin to The Rock’s electrifying theme, wrestling music helped define generations of superstars. But how did WWF: The Music go from platinum-selling albums to becoming an afterthought in today’s WWE?

If you've never played the music and pretended you were walking out as your favorite wrestler and did all their poses you're lying 😂😅

WWF The Music Vol. 3 was my first wrestling themes CD, too. I bought it specifically for the ICP track but ended up listening to it quite a bit. The DX and Brood themes were in contact rotation while I was driving.

Good retrospective! I grew up with these albums so I have very good memories of these cds. Sadly, with Def Rebel doing the music and people going more towards digital, I think that’s two big reasons why the album sales slowed down. I’d love to see them rev back up again because buying them was a lot of fun.

Ty for the videos and retrospectives and please keep them coming!

I still got my collection of WWF/E music CD's and i break them out once in a blue moon outside my family road trips to see friends or to make the hour-long trip to the cabin

I remember having vol. 3 on my playlist back in the day. Best cd they ever produced

Man the action figures and stage setups also had a downfall I still have a rare WWF Stephanie McMahon action figure in box with the mop and bucket. I miss the 99 to 2002 Raw Is War stage setup it looked cool and the titantron videos were also great back then instead of being generic with only the wrestlers name showing up.

Since you brought up figure feds, can you do the Rise & Fall of WWE Action Figures? I used to play the Jakks Specific Figures & Classic Superstars a lot with the Wrestlemania 2 ring with Blue Bar Cage.

The Wwf (and wcw cds) music volumes SHOULD HAVE always been multiple cd sets, with each release !

It def peaked at vol. 4 and 5. Just like the company in general after 01 it just wasn’t the same. I did get Anthology tho. The 3 disc set was hard to turn down and got it for Xmas too. But after tht tht was it.

Shame that Too Cool/Rikishi’s song “You Look Fly Today” never made it on wwe the music cd.
