Truly a great marketing strategy, I will give them that. I, on the other hand, refuse to buy anything overpriced. Even during COVID there were other brands to buy for much less that sounded good, and I don't care what the top singer/song writers have around their neck. Right now I have $15 wireless earbuds that sound pretty darn good. What I might pay more for, if I was that kind of person, would be the brands that the DJ uses, or the sound recording studio uses. Go where quality matters!

And this is why I'm not a good business strategist. I have trouble capitalizing on, or advertising to people's ignorance. I want to add value and help further society as opposed to taking advantage of other's poor decisions...

A spin on a current product or brand can change the entire trajectory for sure. Network = Net worth

Don’t forget Dr. Dre name recognition goes a long way

Sounds amazing if I had celebrities to hit up. Is there a substitute strategy?

They got those numbers by cutting out monster cable out of the equation … by doing so that meant under contract monster cable would make the product for them with the beats logo and would get $0 from the deal and they got all of it in writing
And of course what helped them was their marketing strategy
But the bulk of the work was done by their contract deal
Sometimes the pen is mightier than the sword

One of the best strategies for sure they sold a completely inferior product for 300. Such an inferior product that a $20 pair of koss wrap around sounded like a $1000 pair in comparison. Wasn't until years later they actually put out a decent headset. But skull candy crushers have them beat hands down no competition.

Jimmy was the one that put the headphones on every artist and insisted they could not leave without a photo of them. Free marketing

I don’t understand why watching this content makes anybody smarter

The 1st beats did have tangly wires. They just had plastic pieces that allowed you to clip them on your clothing. The wires were red.

The headphone sucks, it break so easily.

It wasn’t just the headphones that made them money, it was the music software we use today as Apple Music as well which generates more revenue than the headphones.

ok, so they did the same thing every other business wants to do, which is to make a good product, but unlike other businesses, they knew artists who could advertise for them. wow, so innovative.

So a multi platinum recording artist got his musician friends to promote his product…genius…and anyone can do it!

How do you make these videos? Does someone make and edit them for you or what’s the score?

It didn’t hurt for Jimmy to wear the headphones when he was an advisor on American Idol.

Great. Post mortem success stories. Did you predict anything?

Moral of the story: Get celebs to endorse your product and you'll sell a lot of whatever your product is.
