The sound design in this scene is masterful. It helps suck you in. What a master Lynch was.

The vacuum of silence snatches the scene. It's amazingly done.

I met Robert Blake about a year before he passed away. I told him how much I loved his work in Lost Highway. He goes, “hey let me ask you something…what am I supposed to be in that?”

David Lynch’s movies are the closest I’ve ever seen a filmmaker get to directly transcribing the unconscious mind, the world of dreams, and dream logic, to the silver screen; or, in this case, a nightmare.

This scene was my introduction to David Lynch's work. It still scares me to this day. I'll miss him dearly.

Quite possibly the most atmospheric movie ever made, and this is one of the most brilliantly shot scenes in movie history; The music, the colors, the cinematography and the acting is just spot on.

I just saw this film (at a theater). Liked it much more than I thought. Can't stop watching this clip. Robert Blake's facial expressions are perfection here. He is great in this part.

2:06 - that subtle change in his voice absolutely chills me to the bone. One second, he's cordial, and the next, he's deadly serious. Phenomenal.

One of the things I love most here isn't just how Blake's character seemingly saps every sound of the environment, it's how small things like setting down the shot glass and the phone still make very clear and distinct noises. It's like a pocket dimension was summoned. Insanely surreal and creepy

Strange that Pullman was never a bigger actor. He just... looks so cool!

Ever so Lynch-ian, this scene in particular, totally warped and twisted, so surprisingly odd, but that's what makes this enjoyable. RIP David - total master at this!

One of the best scenes ever filmed. «That's fkn crazy man» is top delivery from Pullman.

This scene is so indescribably terrifying, yet every time I watch it I bust out laughing at Pullman’s delivery of “that’s fuckin crazy, man”

I was obsessed with this soundtrack back when I was in high school. What a great film!! Robert Blake was so good. Everyone was great in it really. David Lynch was truly a master. 🖤

R.I.P. David Lynch. I haven't seen Lost Highway in over 27 years; the first time was on VHS rental when I was 9 years old and now just recently in 4K at 36 years old. In my 20s I was definitely a Mulholland Drive snob, but now, I'm officially a Lost Highway elitist.😂❤

Sad Day, RIP David, you will be missed.

I remember watching Eraser Head, then Elephant Man. His approach to human frailties & darkness of the heart was absurd & poetic.
