Value of cos(π-π/6)

Solution Method 1:

Cos (π-π/6) = Cos ((6π - π)/6) = Cos 5π/6 = Cos (5x180°)/6 = Cos (5x30°)

= Cos 150° = Cos (180°-30°)= -cos 30° = -√3/2 (Answer)

Solution Method 2:

Using the formula

Cos (A-B) = Cos A Cos B + Sin A Sin B

for A = π and B = π/6,

Cos (π-π/6) = Cos π Cos π/6 + Sin π Sin π/6 = -1 . √3/2 + 0. 1/2 = -√3/2 + 0

Or, Cos (π-π/6) = -√3/2

Sir, π/2 se π ke bich ki value cosx ke liye negative hogi kyuki agar aap cos 5π/6 lete hai to ishe cos(π-π/6) likhte hai jisse yah 2nd quadrant me aata hai and 2nd quadrant me cos -ve hota hai overall -cosπ/6 ki value -ve hogi jisse (π/2, π) interval me ye function decreasing hoga...😊

Cos (pie -pie/6) is negative... But function will be postivie bcz cos ki range -1 to +1 hoti h .

I really appreciate your way of solving que and it is very helpful...
But sir in sec B and sec C the value of cos 5π/6 is -√3/2 and -1 respectively and you had wrote that positive wheather finally we get f'(x) is positive in both cases

100x^99 will be so large that it would nullify cosx's negative value coz positive (large) minus negative (small) will be positive onlyy
