The professional caterer, which started its 'Delivery Steamboat' packages, would deliver (even if it's one set) to almost all parts of Penang island except to Balik Pulau and Teluk Bahang. Transportation charges apply for delivery to the mainland.
Priced from RM268 nett per set (caters to 10 persons), the caterer will throw in the steamboat equipment, utensils and serving services of either buffet style or sit-down dinner for orders of six sets and above.
Bamboo Catering's chief executive officer (CEO) Edric Kum said depending on the selected package, a full set of steamboat ingredients would include fresh white prawns, pomfret fish (white), fresh squid, chicken and abalone fillet, fresh scallop, salmon and lobster balls, abalone mushroom, stuffed tofu and chicken soup.
"The set is nicely packed in a box and also consists of sauces and condiments such as cili padi, soya sauce, chilli and tomato sauce and fried garlic oil.
"Those who prefer tomyam or Bamboo's special fish bone soup have to pay an additional charge," he said.
There are also other add-ons such as flower crabs, sea cucumber, fresh mussel, jellyfish, sea asparagus, tiger prawns (frozen), dory fish fillet, beef slice, chicken dumpling, fish roll, yam ball and many more.
"Another new delivery product from Bamboo is its delicious Bento sets.
"We will prepare any cuisine of your choice Bento-style and deliver them to you with a minimum order of 20 boxes," he added.
