The StanleyBD engineers definitely gleaned some of the best features of the OF2200 and put them on a more compact platform. Great review as always! Wish you and the family all the best this holiday. Stay blessed!

I paired the new router with a 1" straight bit when using the jambmaster. There is plenty of power, and the easy on/off switch is perfect for this application!

I work in a solid surface shop and have been considering buying one for a few weeks now. If I were to buy one I might as well buy two, just for the convenience of not having to swap out flush cut trim bits. The depth adjustment/ lock mechanism is a game changer for sure. It’s annoying having to apply pressure to the motor and use a cam lock when you have it set where you like it, or have to unlock the cam and twist the router to micro adjust stuff.

This router looks awesome! Im gonna have to pick one up. The D handles are my favorite..super cool how they incorporated that into this one

Great review bro. Very well thought out and explained. I'm semi new to carpentry & I have really struggled with confidence in using hand routers. Man they scare me to bits. But the 2x DeWalt models look like you have more control. Seriously considering both models even though I'm a Makita man by

Absolutely a killer router package. Honestly, the only wish I have would be a bluetooth package to sync with the Festool dust extractor. I've seen a lot of people complaining about the power of the router, but I find it has a great deal to do with the battery being used with the router. Power stacks are the way to go with this one, or at least something with 21700 cells in it to get max amperage from the battery.

Hello Spencer . Great review ! I keep 10 of the smaller Dewalt DCW 600 in my work truck and 5 in my shop . I'm not a fan of swapping router bits ! I have had three of them fail on me ! I also have had a Flexvolt mitre saw motor fail, just out of warranty ! I embrace the good and bad in all these platforms . I feel that the brushless tools are somewhat problematic. I have a very substantial investment in these cordless tools but i'm really on the fence on buying more Dewalt routers . I actually E-Mailed Dewalt about the flexvolt saws and asked them to allow me to Demo the next generation . They sent me a response touting their warranty . I'm not an influencer, just a little influenced by their failure !
Merry Christmas .

I was initially super impressed when I pulled it out of the package and it included the centering cone and stud for perfectly centering a guide bushing concentric with the collet bore ... I had one of those made by a local machine shop about 20 years ago for my fixed base dewalt when I bought a leigh dovetail jig because if your bit is offset even a couple thou from the exact center of the guide bushing it can throw off your dovetails enough to be visible, so the forethought from the mfg is much appreciated!

My Bosch router from 6 years ago has the trigger and trigger lock on the right side handle.

Just what I need: a reason to get into yet ANOTHER battery platform.

That’s just about everything I need for the type of work I do on site available in cordless now

Great video, But DeWalt did nothing new here. Go back and take a look at most routers from the 90's. They looked exactly like that. I even have an old Craftsman from the early 90's with the same handles and triger placement. I thought that was genius and always wondered why they took that design feature away. I mean, to me, it's also a great safety future not having to remove your hand to turn the tool off. Either way, im glad DeWalt brought back this older style. Cheers

Thank you for a good session Spencer. I looked at this new router in Australia a month ago. The first thing I looked at was tolerances in the turrets to motor assembly. Whereas the plunge on first impressions was smooth, when I tried to rack the motor it did rack. Did you see this? The racking for me was substantial but I was not able to do operational tests in wood to see the effects of the play. What do you think of this?

Great. Now I need to sell my corded version with the D handle accessory so I can have a cordless workhorse!

Love your videos. Haven't seen them in awhile. Could you talk more about the business end of your company. I've been in business a long time and still struggle with everything from the economy to price gouging by sub contractors. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks and merry Xmas.

With the battery attached is this router lighter in weight vs the Festool OF1400? Looking hard at these cordless options👍
