3 Simple Marinades to Add More Flavor to Salmon

Marinades are an effortless way to add flavor to your favorite proteins. If you’re a meat eater, you’ve likely had marinated chicken, beef and pork at a restaurant, or made them at home, but what about seafood?
Just like meat, seafood, especially salmon, is the perfect canvas to experiment with flavor. Marinades are easy to throw together on the fly with ingredients you have on had, but if you’re looking for inspiration, or if fish frequents your weekly menu, these three simple marinade recipes from @ChefBillyParisi are sure to make a splash!
3 Simple Marinades
Serves 6
Ingredients
For the Garlic and Herb Marinade
2 Tbsp. fresh dill, chopped
1 garlic clove, finely minced
Juice of ½ lemon
¼ cup olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
12 oz. of salmon
For the Sweet Soy Marinade
3 Tbsp. light brown sugar
1 garlic clove, finely minced
2 tsp. fresh ginger, minced
2 Tbsp. sesame oil
1/3 cup soy sauce
12 oz. of salmon
For the Cilantro Lime Marinade
1 ½ Tbsp. Two Brothers blackened seasoning
3 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped
Juice of 1 lime
¼ cup olive oil
Salt, to taste
12 oz. of salmon
Instructions
For any of the marinades above:
1. Add all of the ingredients for your marinade of choice, excluding the salmon, to a medium-size bowl and whisk to combine.
2. Transfer the salmon and marinade to a plastic Ziploc bag or container and marinate in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
