It doesn't take much time researching to see yhe human digestive system breaks down the IGF-1 in milk and the consumption of any protein including vegetable sources increases IGF-1 far more than dairy does.

I'm not an advocate for dairy products but this feels like we're leaving realty at this point. A natural raw whole food is always going to be healtheir than a chemcial mixture. If i had to pick between dairy and meat over skittles and cocola i would take the dairy and meat everytime.

There was a study done years ago looking at how bad different common drinks were for you. Coca cola was 3rd worst things for you and milk was right down at the bottom. Quite interestingly most high caffeine drink did more damage over the 2 month period than the alcoholic ones.

Title: Milk Protein May Offer Protection Against Type 2 Diabetes, Study Suggests

In a recent randomized controlled trial, researchers have found evidence suggesting that a specific milk protein, known as whey protein, may help protect against the development of type 2 diabetes. The study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, sheds light on the potential benefits of incorporating whey protein into the diet.

The study, led by Dr. Daniela Jakubowicz from the Wolfson Medical Center in Israel, involved 82 participants with obesity and elevated blood sugar levels, placing them at high risk for developing type 2 diabetes. The participants were randomly assigned to one of two groups: one group consumed a whey protein drink before breakfast, while the other group consumed a placebo drink.

Over the course of 12 weeks, the researchers monitored the participants' blood sugar levels, insulin sensitivity, and other metabolic markers. The results showed that the group consuming the whey protein drink experienced significant improvements in their blood sugar control and insulin sensitivity compared to the placebo group.

Dr. Jakubowicz and her team believe that the beneficial effects of whey protein can be attributed to its ability to stimulate the production of a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). GLP-1 is known to enhance insulin secretion, improve insulin sensitivity, and promote feelings of fullness, which may help with weight management.

The findings of this study are particularly important, as the global prevalence of type 2 diabetes continues to rise at an alarming rate. According to the International Diabetes Federation, approximately 463 million adults worldwide were living with diabetes in 2019, and this number is projected to increase to 700 million by 2045.

While the results of this study are promising, the researchers caution that further research is needed to confirm the long-term effects of whey protein on diabetes prevention. Additionally, they emphasize that whey protein should be consumed as part of a balanced diet and not used as a sole means of preventing or managing diabetes.

In conclusion, this randomized controlled trial provides evidence that whey protein may offer protection against the development of type 2 diabetes. As the search for effective diabetes prevention strategies continues, the potential role of specific dietary components, such as whey protein, warrants further investigation.

Title: Milk Protein Demonstrates Protective Effect Against Diabetes in Indian Population, Study Finds

In a groundbreaking study published in the prestigious journal "Diabetes Care, " a team of researchers from the National Institute of Nutrition in Hyderabad, India, has discovered that a specific milk protein may offer protection against the development of diabetes in the Indian population.

The study, led by Dr. Hemalatha Rajkumar, Director of the National Institute of Nutrition, focused on the potential protective effects of the milk protein lactoferrin against diabetes. The research involved a large-scale, multi-center study with a cohort of 2, 000 adult participants from various regions across India.

Over a period of five years, the researchers closely monitored the participants' dietary habits, lifestyle factors, and health markers. They found that individuals who consumed higher amounts of lactoferrin, a protein naturally found in milk and dairy products, had a significantly lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes compared to those with lower lactoferrin intake.

Dr. Rajkumar stated, "Our findings suggest that lactoferrin plays a crucial role in regulating blood sugar levels and improving insulin sensitivity. This milk protein appears to have a protective effect against diabetes, particularly in the Indian population, where the burden of the disease is rapidly increasing."

The study also revealed that the beneficial effects of lactoferrin were more pronounced in individuals who maintained a balanced diet and engaged in regular physical activity. The researchers emphasized the importance of adopting a holistic approach to diabetes prevention, combining dietary modifications with lifestyle changes.

India has been grappling with a diabetes epidemic, with an estimated 77 million people currently living with the condition. The findings of this study offer hope for a potential dietary intervention that could help curb the rising tide of diabetes in the country.

Dr. Anoop Misra, a renowned diabetes expert and chairman of the Fortis Center of Excellence for Diabetes in New Delhi, commented on the study, saying, "This research provides compelling evidence for the protective role of milk protein against diabetes. Incorporating lactoferrin-rich dairy products into the Indian diet could be a simple yet effective strategy for diabetes prevention and management."

The research team plans to conduct further studies to explore the mechanisms behind lactoferrin's protective effects and to determine the optimal dosage and formulation for potential therapeutic applications.

The study's findings have been welcomed by the scientific community and public health experts alike, as they offer a promising avenue for tackling the diabetes epidemic in India through dietary interventions. The National Institute of Nutrition is now working closely with healthcare providers and policymakers to translate these research findings into practical guidelines for the general population.

Woke up one morning and my fingers were aching. Since I have been sewing almost 60 years I was pretty upset. I was already vegetarian so I ditched the dairy. It’s been over a year and my fingers haven’t ached since I stopped the dairy.
